Look up karting clubs and karting courses, i know it can be gratifing to do it yourself but might work out cheaper to buy a chassis and build on that, it is what my friend donhe and he has years of experiance as a welder who said it is easier to buy than construct although he repairs his but there is individual so much you can do with out weaking the frame work.
