No matter what I do I can't come across to get a honest read on where the fluid even is for my 1990 LS400 transmission. I drained the item, and began innards it back up, checking it after every 1/2 quart. The dipstick is so intricate to read I could never tell where on earth the fluid level be. Finally I got to the point where on earth I had put within more than I had taken out and stopped. I checked it again the subsequent day thinking that everything should hold settled by then, but I still can't capture an accurate reading. There's just fluid everywhere. It be like this the entire time I be filling it up, merely no way to see exactly where on earth the line be. Anyone have any tricks or anything they've used contained by order to receive a clear cut line where on earth the fluid is? I am putting the car contained by R D 2 and 1 before checking beside the engine running and fluid warm (tried it cold too and still couldn't recount where the fluid stopped).
Answers: Take it to someone to check it for you....How much could it really cost to own this checked?
Very simple! Did you wipe the dip stick before you put surrounded by it?
If you don't see a clear lever after you wipe it and put it in. You probably put too much within it.
