Well I put it stern in this morning and tried it and still wont start, do any of you hold suggestions? Just so you are aware I have replaced the filter, plugs, and alernator for maitenence upkeep. I am aware some of you own mixed feelings on the verbs, but please dont share them. I am looking for a fix not people flamming me for the coup¨¦ I drive.
Answers: The two main culprits to look at is the starter, and the freestyle.
But my money goes on the freestyle. It sounds as though your battery may be dated and won't hold a charge since it was have trouble holding a charge after you jump started it. I also look to rule out the alternator since you said it started and after 30 second it died on you.
Well problem one is that it's a Ford. <-- I flamed Ford not your probe. :-)
Seriously though, it could be any of the following:
Fuel Filter
Spark Plugs
Spark Plug Wires
Distributor Cap & Rotor (should be replaced beside plugs and wires)
Battery
Alternator.
Start with the cheapest route first. Replace your spark plugs. When be the last time you have a tune up (i.e. replace spark plugs)?
Take the battery to a shop to own them test it. If it's the mobile than more than likey you might need a current alternator. Since a week battery ability the alternator is constantly trying to charge it.
Let's start over, check in this writ.
Replace spark plugs (dirt cheap, you can do it yourself).
Repace spark plug wires
Replace Distributor Cap & Rotor (all easy to do).
Then battery-operated (since the aforementioned items are cheaper).
Alternator (mechanic probably required)
Fuel Filter (there are usually 2, one under the hood and one essential the gas tank).
if the battery is deceased or low, then the starter won't turn over at adjectives. I'm sorry you spent so much time focusing on the battery. Now if it's not turning over at adjectives, and it's not the battery, consequently it's the starter, case closed.
But since it's turning over but not firing, it could be one of maaaaany things. We can rule out the fuel filter, plugs, and alternator since you lately replaced those. The fuel injectors could be clogged (happened to an eclipse I was driving), a sensor could be out (although I can't remember which ones might exact it not to start), or your fuel pump could be out.
However. Now that I think in the order of it, the fact that it run for 30 seconds and after died...your timing belt could have broke. Unfortunately I'm not sure where on earth the timing belt is on a probe, but if you phone call autozone those guys probably know.
before you step to all the trouble and expense of replacing everything, pilfer it to a reputable mechanic and have him do a engine check after replace the faulty slice.
