What open-handed of Gear Box grease should i use contained by my W Reg Polo Gti?

Reconditioning my gear box after diff sheared off and prices for clean boxes and boxes from the scap yards are a bit more than i can afford i enjoy a mechanic freind doing the job but simply need to find out which grease to use.

Best place to go.I other go nearby (not a sales pitch)But i have the same trouble going on for which oil and be told to ring them,they asked me about my engine and what i used the motor for ie track use etc as well as road driving.And they sorted some grease out and that week it was achieve 1 litres free.
i also had Free transport also.
Getting my box oil this time from them contained by the next few weeks.

Ask the shopkeeper when you travel to buy oil. They own the complete grading for respectively car contained by their booklet and the exact quantity you require for this sports car.
