I have a 1991 Cadillac deville 4.9. I hold done a major tune-up to it later week. The problem I am having in a minute is that if my fuel gauge reach below 5 to 6 gallons and I am driving up a big hill or making a long not here or right turn it starts to run out of gas. When the turn or hill is gone the gas returns to the engine and I own no problems. The only piece I do now is overrun up the tank when it have 6 gallons remaining.
Answers: is there a dint within the tank?
conceivably the pickup is on a dint (high spot) which doesn't allows the fuel to reach it.
it could also be a baffle contained by the tank fall over, not allowing the fuel to reach the pickup also
I surmise you need to remove the fuel container and clean it out. Then blow adjectives the fuel lines out.you have dirt contained by your fuel tank.
