Has the 2.7 L V6 engine for the 1999 Dodge Intrepid be recall, and except, why not?

I know that my Daimler Chrysler product is NOT the only one whose engine have "locked up" due to oil circulation issues despite proper grease changes at the recommended intervals.

Answers:    I work at a Ford/Chrysler dealership and yes, it is a problem. The 2.7 have a major oil deficiency. We own them come straight out of the crate with position failures and low grease pressure. While a lot of the engines hold bearing problems due to poor oil, some last a moment ago fine. It is a percentage factor. Not enough failure to warrant a recall, and usually a withdraw is only for a sanctuary concern to satisfy the NHTSA. You are one of the lucky ones if your engine have operated minus a failure since 1999.
Because near as many that are failing, within are many lofty milers with some next to over 200,000 miles etc that are fine.
