I have an 1986 VW Golf near a 5 speed stick and140,000 miles on it. I got within the car started it in recent times fine, drove about 20ft, and later as I was going away my drive way I go a little too slow for first gear (not that slow) the sports car lurched 3 times and died. I then tried to start it nought happened, no click no sounds zilch. I was on a hummock so I pushed it a little and bump started it newly fine. I then drove the saloon to the supermarket (car ran great). When I tried to move out my car wouldn't start again, no nouns no nothing. I tried to bump start it and zilch hapened so I had my friend come beside jumper cable. With the jumps the coup¨¦ would start fine and run fine but as soon as we took off the jumper the car would rev up and down really rough for a few second and then die. We tried three times and give up. Anybody know the problem.
Answers: firstly!... make sure the battery-operated leads are verbs and tight? then it get difficult.........
