Disconnect lexus es300 vehicle alarm?

Something is going on with my lexus coup¨¦ alarm. During an extremely cold winter my car alarm stopped working however it keep trying to set itself while I'm driving, the flashers go on and past its sell-by date for 10-15 seconds after it stops for a few minutes and continues again. No rhyme or reason for it. I only just replaced the battery which help but it still happens frequently. Any thinking?
