I got the theory on how to change the grease just wondering if i should buy the stuff to do it, or a moment ago take it to the garage and enjoy it done. if doing it yourself is easier/cheaper anyone have an thought on what oil to use and filter. Car is 1997 Chevy Lumina - 116k Miles.
Answers: if you want to do it yourself, but aren't confident, ask a local mechanic to show you how to do it and what tools you'll requirement. bribe him with beer or food. keep watch on what he does and listen to his tips. then subsequent time, you do it
The oil filter is within front of car at bottom of the engine. I judge they reccomend using a 5w30 oil. You can find out what type of grease to use from an autoparts store. Good luck.
