Answers: There is a bunch of things that can be wrong. The wrap up shaft might have broke, the tranmission forks (what the shifter connects to that amendment from one set of gears to another) could have broken bad, the cluster grear might have broke. The problem might not be near the transmition at all. If the cv joint in a front reins drive, or the spider gear in a backside wheel drive broke, the engine and transmition will work great, but the coup¨¦ won't move.
Your best bet is to get it to a mechanic and see exactly what is wrong next to it.

If the engine starts it sounds close to the clutch plate is not engaging the fly controls but could be the gear box has retired - no grease and bang.
The gears adjectives move on small axles and throw out bearings--probably broken metal is jamming the movements...requests to be out and repaired. Not too expensive but a new trans might be cheaper and faster. Change the engine grease and filters--gas filters, nouns filters--you may have a virtuous car in that. good luck

is in that an inspection plate? i would check to see what the clutch looked like-maybe a blown clutch disk
