Did I blow a fuse surrounded by my sports car? Penny fell into break open cigarette lighter...?

and sparks flew for a second. I was wondering if I blew a fuse cuz in a minute my automatic door locks don't work. The windows work, and the auto trunk button work.

I own a 1995 Pontiac Grand Am GT 3.1 V6 if that matter. It has power everything and the solely thing that doesn't work so far is the door locks which worked more rapidly today. I'll try the power sun roof next. Any minister to is appreciated! :)

Also, if I did blow a fuse...any idea which one it could be or should I lately start pulling out fuses and check? Or did I fry that wire when it shorted out when the sparks flew?

Answers:    Look for the fuse definite CTSY
Your owner's manual should notify you which one controls teh cancer stick lighter, beyond that there might be a chart on the inside of the fuse panel cover, others enjoy small print on the fuse box itself for each individual fuse.
I don't expect this to assist too much but I can tell you one article... The same exact thing happen to my girlfriends 81' Corvette and it's never been impossible to tell apart. Her brother and father are mechanics and even they can not solve the problem. I know they did check the fuses and believe me if it was a simple problem approaching that they would have be able to fix it. I'd say-so just offer your dealership/repair shop a call and see what they notify you on the phone.
More than likely the fuse have blown.Remove the fuse cover and look into the cover it should tell you where on earth the cig lighter or the door lock fuse is.You can pull the fuses one by one and check them or use a testing light. The fuses own small gaps surrounded by the tops of them to use test lights on.Just clip the question paper light to a suitable ground and touch the gaps surrounded by the fuses they should light the oral exam light on both sides of the fuse,if pull the fuse.Good luck God Bless...
Same entity happend to me a few years back...you definalty blew a fuse. Just check your fuses to see which one is fried. It's undemanding to tell. Probably the power lock fuse individual. There should be a 20 or 10 amp door lock or unlock fuse...check those first.
Yes, you blew a fuse. look in your owners encyclopaedia for the fuse that says door locks beside it. Then find it contained by the fuse box and replace it.
simple answer, yes it has blown a fuse.1st start beside the fuse for the cigarete lighter and go from at hand.If you cant find any fuses blown from inside fuse box there is also one below the bonnet.Check those as well
