O2 sensor's relationship to "Check Engine" street light...?

Dumb check engine light is on surrounded by my 2001 Nissan Altima... pretty sure its the obligatory O2 sensor. If I freshly pull the fuse for the O2 sensor do you feel that might kill the lighting?

Answers:    The very first piece I would try is to make sure that your gas container cover is on securely. A loose gas reservoir cover is a simple cause that activate the CHECK ENGINE light.

The CHECK ENGINE standard lamp should generate a hard error code or a soft error code to be exact stored in your vehicle computer memory. If the CHECK ENGINE light is other on, then it is a tricky code and that could be a serious problem that needs instant attention. If the light is sometimes on after off, consequently on, that is a soft code and is not as serious.

You can try to reset the CHECK ENGINE table lamp by pulling and replacing the fuse. Or try disconnecting then reconnecting the mobile. However, this will not work for all vehicle.

You can try to obtain the error code that the engine computer generate when the CHECK ENGINE light comes on. Supposedly AutoZone will do this for free. Then adjectives you need is to determine what that code vehicle. Ask at AutoZone. Or try telephoning a local buyer or post the code on the internet in an auto repair forum.

Good luck.
You can't "a moment ago pull the fuse" because the O2 sensor doesn't own a dedicated fuse. You hold no choice other than replacing it but formerly you do that make sure - not "pretty sure" but in reality sure - that this is THE problem because check engine light is an indication of one or more of varied emissions control component(s) self out of wack, and replacing them based on assumption will unlikely variety you happy.
