Did I put within too much motor grease?

I have a '95 Z28 (LT1). The encyclopaedia prescribes adding 5 quarts. I bought a 5qt water jug of mobil 1. I poured the whole piece in. I drove it around to carry it hot and get the unknown oil filter full up up, came vertebrae home, and let it sit for in the order of 10 minutes. I checked it, and it's between 1/8 and 1/4 of an inch above the F line. Is this plenty over to cause problems? When relatives talk in the region of overfilling oil, do they mingy that it's like a unbroken quart overfilled, and like 1-2 inches above the F stripe? Will going slightly over cause problems?

Answers:    Always affix 4 qts, run it to fill the filter, check your dip stick and next add more if obligatory. You can do some serious damage by over wadding them.

If you are that high up on the dipstick, I would recommend draining some out till you achieve the right level.
probably so....
