It only downshifts similar to that once the engine heats up to the max of its common operating level. When its cold or thaw it does fine. But once it downshifts, I have to drive contained by 2nd gear everywhere I go. :(
I can usually stop the motor and turn it off and restart it and it will stir back to 1st gear and do the change normally, for a few minutes anyway, but consequently its a hard downshift to 2nd and I'm stuck contained by 2nd again. Any help appreciated, my ordinary mechanic is too busy to see me and I'm working with a shop that doesn't come across to know anything. lol
Answers: Its a transmission problem, not an engine problem anyway. Best point, go to two nouns shops, then if its something simple, pick the cheaper of the two.
