95 crown victoria engine into a 95 mustang? Please Help!?

Question:
I need to know if its possible to put a 95 crown vic 4.6 liter v8 engine into my mustang. I am not totally sure if it is a 4.6 or a 5.0, but I do know that both size engines fit in mustangs. Would it work coming out of a crown vic though? What else would I need? Would I be able to use a mustang transmission? Please help. I have asked this question before but I never got any good answers.

Answer:
you will need all the electronics for a 4.6L. your mustang either has a 3.8L v6 or a 5.0L v8. you will need an engine cradle from a 96-04 mustang, also you would need a transmission that has the correct bellhousing to make it work. plus a fuel system that works with a 4.6L.
ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. HOWEVER, a '95 Mustang came equipped with either a 3.8L V6 or 5.0L V8. A '95 Crown Victoria came equipped with a 4.6L SOHC V8 as they have, since its introduction in the 1992 model year. 1996 was the first year the 4.6L SOHC V8 was introduced in the Mustang. This introduction necessitated Ford to re-engineer the brake assist to the hydraulic setup, due the 4.6L's larger valve covers requiring the space normally occupied by the vacuum brake booster on the other models. ALSO, consider that a '95 model year Mustang GT is NOT OBD-II compliant, while a '95 Crown Victoria IS. What this means is you would have to replace the ENTIRE engine wiring harness as well as the PCM engine brackets, to aforementioned brake booster at the VERY LEAST. Another very important consideration is the different bellhousing bolt patterns between the two engines are completely different, which mandates replacing the transmission as well. In short, if cost effectiveness is an issue, NO it cannot be done. You are better off searching for a good used 5.0L (302) engine if you want to avoid headaches. Hope this helps.
