How do I rot the rpms up on a 2000 chevy cavalier 2.2l engine?

Answers:    Keep the car within park and rev it up ...
If you mean you need to adjust the idle somewhat higher next you are out of luck. It is programmed into the ECU (engine control unit). I think if you hold GM's scan tool you may be able to flash the computer and adjust it that course but I don't know for sure. It is not like a carburated engine where on earth you can turn a screw and it adjusts.
If your motor is not idleing you may have a clogged Idle Air Controll spigot. It is attached to your throttle body. A little carb clean sprayed into it and some restrained tapping on the outside near a hammer should break it loose. If the IAC is the problem (car wont idle) than you probably will call for an IAC.
