Volvo V70 - what components trigger the red engine service night light?

The orange "Engine Service Required" reading light lights up occassionally on my Volvo V70 T5 dashboard (if it goes red it's really serious!!). Last time it be low coolant due to engine work, but just below min on the expansion bottle so no risk. It's something simple again but I can't find which. Does anyone know the complete list of things which trigger it so I can check one by one?

Buy your own OBD-II code reader and see for yourself:

These hold a known guiltiness on the wiring connections to the oxygen and MAF sensor which give these symptoms.
Check them out first.
You may find that getting a diagnostic reader to check any stored codes might help determin the problem.
