I have a 1986 IROC Z28 and i be wondering where I may know how to find a transmission for cheap. will a junkyard tranny be reliable?

Junkyard parts are the way to stir for most parts. For a Transmission I would buy one from the junk courtyard and bring it to someone that can put the rebuild utensils in it. you will let go 1000.00 or more this way.
