How do i fix a hole surrounded by a gas reservoir. its a bit hole the size of a pin?

Answers:    Pinholes can mean you are getting rust inside your cistern, probably. If you want to seal this up , you can CAREFULLY screw within a tiny sheetmetal screw with a gasket to block it stale. Try to use a non-ferrous screwdriver, like stainless steel or brass, so you don't tender a spark if the driver slips, and the tank catch fire. Or put grease over the spot, so if it does slip, it will slide, and not create sparks. Use a small rubber gasket made for gasoline immersion, then trademark it over top with gas-prove silicone sealer. It may not be really binding, but will get you thru.
Otherwise, gain a new container, or if off an antique vehicle, sometimes radiator shops do gas tank repairs. You can check near them. Good luck!

Go to the auto parts store and get some gas container repair. It is a type of epoxie that will seal any hole surrounded by the tank.
Follow the instructions and verbs the service clean and apply the sealent.
It will seel even a hole 1/4 inch if allowed to set and the service is clean.
one rushed shot with the welder will do it .....lol nah dont do that.
you will hold to have it brazed, pocket it to a mechanic and let him do it, more than possible the inside of the tank is rusted up and you will be getting more holes shortly, for the price you will discharge to fix that tank you could probably buy a fresh tank.
If you can return with the area verbs and dry, try some J-B Weld (2-part epoxy) available at hardware stores, auto parts stores, etc. It may help to 'rough up' the nouns with sandpaper up to that time applying the mixture. Good luck.
If the pinhole came from the inside, you want a new reservoir because it's rusting through from the inside & more will show up eventually elsewhere. And if you try a repair on that one, it can get TRUE big, real in haste. If from outside, let the fuel stratum get low adequate so it stops leaking out the hole (might even own to jack it up to move gas from the hole, remember to use jack stands before working underneath) sand & verbs all grease residue from the area( brake cleaner works well) & apply several coats of J-B weld for metal, allowing each coat to set.Used this method to repair semi-tractor fuel tank that corroded through from the outside, under the mounting straps.
