What type of lube should I use to put liner in?
Thanks
Answers: The red and black orings dance in the block unsurprisingly as for the other oring you are talking more or less it should be a square packing this goes around the bottom of the liner. The liner will enjoy a step on it. Get some soapy water and push packing on to the bottom of liner and slide it up the liner till it hits the step. If you install every entity correctly this should be the last stamp against the block right above the oring grooves. so don't slide it up to far because it doesn't go underneath the top lip if you do tis your cylinders will not be even beside the block when you press it in. So freshly slide pack untill it hits first step on the liner. The piston packing bottoms inside the block below the top deck. With soapy water you should know how to use the wooden end of a tack hammer handle to hit liner piston assemblys in. So take home sure you put the packing on the bottom of the liner. Oh yeah second question John deere make a special soap that you lube the orings and packing with. But a lofty concentrated soap in for a while water will do like. This works the best and has no effect on the orings and doesn't break them down at adjectives like grease or silcone spray.
