E85 or even E100?

What does it take and how much would it cost to rework a basic gas engine to a E85 or E100 engine. I hear about $100 + labor. I also hear it puts out the Compression of 115 octane fuel. true or not.

Only flex-fuel engines should run E85.

You put E85 into a car beside a non-Flex-Fuel engine, it might destroy the seal.

Furthermore, Flex-Fuel engines have electronics that are programmed to accomodate E85 (different parameter for things like spigot and ignition timing, etc.). Put that into a non-Flex-Fuel engine that can't handle those paramaters, you will trash that engine contained by short order.

"$100 plus labor" sounds resembling voodoo. Caveat emptor.
