I understand this is no good, but what actually happens here?
Answer:
Hmmm..I know this one, my boyfriend told me (he's a mechanic)...right...I'm pretty sure he said if you over fill it then it leaks out of whatever hole it can get out of but it'll just burn and cause a little smoke from your engine, no harm done as long as it's not over filled hugely. Hope that helps!!
to much oil really is not good the oil pressure goes way up and your car will start to smoke very bad and it will make your car run really hard have a nice day.
no problem if only a little overfilled.. But if more than a litre, your engine will be unreponsive than before, until u drain the oil.. there no other effect..
If it's grossly overfilled, the crank throws hit the oil, creating a frothy mix of oil and air, which drops the oil pressure to nearly nothing, resulting in massive bearing failure, and a blown engine.
hi
the you can cause serious damage to the motor bacause the pistons have to work more making the motor overheat.the pression can cause overheat or it can pop up the lid
As the crankshaft rotates it will churn the oil, causing aeration and eventually sustained foam may form. This can lead to overheated motor oil, oxidation and a loss of oil pressure. Spongy aerated oil is hard to pump. It starves the engine and critical lubricated surfaces.
