Recently my check engine lighting came on so I go and borrowed a diagnostic scope to see what would pop up...
Well, the flexibility read the following:
P0411 -
Secondary Air Injection System Incorrect Flow
P1131
Camshaft Position Sensor A - Bank 1Circut Malfunction
P0340
Manfacurer Control Fuel Air Metering
Basically, I need someone beside a bit of mechanical/mustang know how to go ahead and make clear to me in detail what I will be doing because I want this to be a bit of a DIY (do it yourself) errand... I'd like to fix anything the problem is, so if one of you can better explain the scope reading that would be cool...
I need to know what the problem is, how to fix it, and what tools I will necessitate, PLEASE... thank you!
Answers: Replace the cam sensor first. Clear the codes then drive. The other codes may of be tripped by this sensor being substandard.
Here is what I would do.
Tune it up, i.e. reset the timing.
Run some high octane fuel through it or STP for a few tank.
replace the fuel/air sensor(s)
Install a cold-air free flow intake system.
