The plastic casing on both my toyota hiace key has broken. The dealer want a hundred quid for a new one! What a rip bad I have with the sole purpose had it three years and gone through 2 key, I guess they are not made to last at this price and provide a steady income for the dealer. Is there any channel I can just buy a replacement cover or doeas anyone know other places it can be replaced. It contains a transponder in the shell I believe but surly this can be swapped over?
Answers: i do beleive they have a immobiliser chip within the casing within are smaller company's that can recode a new push button but the only means of access to do it is though toyota
