1991 Mazda MPV (RWD) Electrical problems?

Okay, so my brother gave me his 1991 RWD Mazda MPV 3.0L V6. Anyways, every single electrical entry inside and out works perfectly fine except for 2 things:

1) Radio. It works clearly fine (i can change the radio stations and do everything generally, but the problem is that i hear no sound (not even static) out of any speakers).

2) Some inside lights (the ones that run on if you open the door). The ones above the reverse view mirror, second row (above the window) and the wager on seat (above the window) dont work no issue what. But the odd item is that the light on the trunk (or hatch, w.e.) works without a flaw fine.

Ive checked every single fuse (big and small) and ive disconnected / reconnected the battery beside no luck.

What is causing this problem?

Answers:    That vehicle have at least two fuse boxes. Usually one underneath the hood near the mobile, and one under the dashboard. It is even possible that in attendance may be a "fusible link" which is just an almost conventional looking wire that comes any from the positive side of the battery nouns or the fuse box. They look slightly different usually... sometimes they are orange or they will be a slightly different bulk for a few inches, then connect into the other chain.
Also check the positive battery terminal. If within are several wires connecting into the terminal, test them adjectives with a meter or interview light to put together sure they are actually getting power.
Although this is unlikely, I own seen it come up... There could be a fuse totally missing from one of the fuse boxes. Sometimes people verbs fuses to check them and stickem back within the wrong hole.
It's also likely that vehicle have a separate amplifier from the radio. These are usually buried in the fly or under the passanger form. On a vehicle that is over 15 years elderly, it's quite possible the amp or radio is unpromising, but it's worth checking out.
Good Luck!
Subnrg's suggestions are good.

Another mode would be to get a Haynes or Chilton brochure and follow the wiring through for problems. You are going to stipulation a manual anyway...
