ITS BEEN SITTING FOR ABOUT A YEAR, I BOUGHT A NEW BATTERY AND IT STARTED FINE, BUT NOW ITS BEEN SITTING FOR A WEEK AND IT MAKES A GRINDING AND A LOUD CLICKING NOISE, AND IT WONT START. COULD IT BE THAT THE FUEL INJECTORS ARE CLOGGED FROM DIRTY GAS CAUSE IT WAS SITTING SO LONG. I SAY THAT BECAUSE IF I TRY AND START IT FOR AWHILE IT BACK FIRES FORM THE INTAKE MANIFOLD, AND THEIRS A SMALL FLAME. WHAT COULD THE PROBLEM BE ?
Answers: maybe its your alarm system. sometimes when a cars mobile gets skinny and you try starting it, the alarm system activates to prevent a would be burglar from stealing your car.
or it could be the alternator or distributor
