my weatherstripping came bad on half of the windshield, but I didnt own any water leak. it just looks trashy so I bought the recommended gum and tried sealing the rubber but it looks AWFUL. the rubber lost its elasticity and so the top corner doesn't achieve all the route over the window. that black gum got everywhere, adjectives over the glass and some on my paint. the weatherstripping looks similar to its not even sealed adjectives the way.
within other words, it looks redneck! I did clean the rubber beforehand applying the glue, did everything the guy at the shop told me to do.
I'm around to get a topical windshield installed if this can't be fixed in some other route..... I just don't hold $200 to do this.
is it possible to have the windshield removed, bring back all the prehistoric weatherstripping stripped off, and take new weatherstripping posterior on and installed in my jeep? my windshield is contained by good condition so I don't entail a new one.

Answers: it will be fine if you se leak use silicone sealing
Most windshield places can come out and only install new rubber.
