and in Maryland (where I live) we are required to achieve an emissions try-out every so often. I am due for mine and I'm reading the "rules" of the question paper and it says that if your "check engine" lighting is on, than you automatically fail the exam. My check engine light have been on for ages....it have been checked and checked and even turned bad and it comes back on for no source. Also, my airbag light is on adjectives the time. How in the heck do I get hold of these off so I can intervene this stupid test?!?! I do not enjoy $80 to spend on a "diagnostic" test at a saloon shop so they can tell me what's wrong beside it. It's old , and I just drive it....it's just mandatory that everyone seize this test done. HELP!!!

Autozone do carrying out tests for free. Air bag fluffy doesn't matter, check engine does.
Go to Kragen, PepBoys, or Autozone. You should own one of these stores in Maryland. They will check the code for free and if they are nice, can even look up the module that you need.
