Buying a Range Rover?

I am thinking of buying a 4.0 or 4.6 Range Rover but I know they have have overheating problems on many of them. Does anybody know if the problem have been sorted and, if so, from what year. I believe the one to own is the P38. would like a response from an AA or RAC tecnician.

Answers:    God awful pieces of cast-offs!! I love them and owned them for years!! Buy one as new as you can afford, build sure there is a apt specialist near you as these cars move about wrong often and are expensive to repair. Overheating is the lowest of your problems, the air suspension is the usual problem nouns. An old addage something like all Land Rovers is they are resembling puppies, they will leave puddles everywhere, no puddles no fluid!! The 2.5 dse is your best bet as both petrol motors are verrrrry expensive to run. But when they are running very well there is zilch on the road approaching them. Don't bother with a booklet as they are difficult to sell on, hold fun.

much ado about nil. if your spending that kind of mark buy a benz or a BMW
My experience with British vehicle is that they are over priced junk. I would suggest you by a Japanese brand of SUV.

As a British motor scheme I have to say-so that an old Range Rover is a money pit, basically like most Jeeps.
